JMI Event Horizon Robotic Telescope Focuser - Cassegrain
Building on the excellent base of the Event Horizon focuser, JMI has spent several years perfecting it's transformation into a completely robotic version for astro-imaging.
This version of the focuser features an integrated high precision motor and control system that gives 0.2 Micron focus step position precision.
This means a 10 times finer control than comparable focusers.
In addition to fine motor control with position feedback, it is ASCOM compatible and can be controlled with many of the popular astro-imaging software packages that you may already own. The system comes with easy to install drivers for instant connectivity.
Compatible with 6″ to 16″ Cassegrain telescopes (e.g. SCT and Mak-Cas) with standard output threads.
Includes an SCT threaded output adapter to allow use of standard SCT equipment on the output side of the focuser.
The focuser gives 1/2″ of travel and is designed for fine focus after rough adjustment with the normal telescope focusing knob.
Weight is 1.4 pounds without the controller.
